Davis Matthews, born in Chicago, and now from New Rochelle, New York, is an incredible performer with a warm spirit and boundless energy!

Davis started acting at the age of six when he played the role of Young Simba in Lion King Jr. (White Plains Performing Arts Center). It was then that Davis realized that his gifts would make room for him on stage. He went on to perform in many other productions at Random Farms Kids Theater and Sandbox Theater. Davis had a blast last summer making his Broadway debut as Young Simba in Disney’s The Lion King where, during his six month run, he performed over 100 shows!

Davis credits his talents to God and his theatrical training from his mom, Tabitha Faith, an actress/director/playwright and spoken word artist.

Off stage, Davis is a talented athlete and loves all things sports. He is inspired by his grandfather, Gary Matthews, and uncle, Gary Matthews Jr., both former MLB All-Stars, and his cousin, 3x USA Bobsled Olympian, Aja Evans. Additionally, Davis loves going to church and expressing his gratitude through worship. He cherishes his relationship with his father and two older brothers;their special bond keeps him grounded.

Davis hopes to inspire other kids to pursue their dreams and be themselves!
